Subaru Forester. Height adjustment

  1. Head restraint
  2. Release button
  3. Remove button

To release:

  • Lowermost to the 1st step

    Pull the head restraint up to the 1st step.

To raise:

  • 1st step to the 3rd step

    Pull the head restraint up while pressing the release button on the top of the seatback.

To lower:

Push the head restraint down while pressing the release button on the top of the seatback.

To remove:

Use a key or other hard, pointed object to press the remove button, then pull out the head restraint.

To install:

Push the head restraint into the holes on the top of the seatback until it locks.

Each head restraint should be adjusted so that the center is closest to the top of the occupant’s ears.

NOTE

When the head restraint cannot be pulled out or installed due to insufficient clearance, tilt the seat and then perform the installation and removal tasks.
