Subaru Forester: Rear seats / Armrest (if equipped)

To lower the armrest, pull down the top
edge of the armrest.
WARNING
- To avoid serious injury, passengers
must never sit on the center
armrest.
- When using the seatbelt, do not
allow it to become tangled with
an arm rest. The seatbelt will not
perform its original function in an
emergency and it may cause a
serious injury.
WARNING
When you fold down the seatback,
check that there are no
passengers or objects on the rear
seat. Not doing so creates a risk
of injury or property damage if
the seatback suddenly folds
down...
Other information:
Carry some emergency equipment, such
as a window scraper, a bag of sand, flares,
a small shovel and jumper cables.
Check the battery and cables. Cold temperatures
reduce battery capacity. The
battery must be in good condition to
provide enough power for cold winter
starts...
Two separate circuits
Your vehicle has two separate circuit brake
systems. Each circuit works diagonally
across the vehicle. If one circuit of the
brake system should fail, the other half of
the system still works. If one circuit fails,
the brake pedal will go down much closer
to the floor than usual and you will need to
press it down much harder...
