Subaru Forester: Windshield wiper and washer switches / Wiper intermittent time control

When the wiper switch is in the
position, turn the dial to adjust the operating
interval of the wiper. The operating
interval can be adjusted in several steps
from the shortest interval to the longest.
To wash the windshield, pull the wiper
control lever toward you. The washer fluid
sprays until you release the lever. The
wipers operate while you pull the lever...
Other information:
The ECO gauge shows the difference
between the current rate of fuel consumption
and the average rate of fuel consumption
since the trip meter was last reset.
If the ECO gauge moves towards the +
side, this indicates better fuel efficiency.

approximate indication of fuel efficiency...
